Tenant FAQs
Answers to your frequently asked questions
-
Can you hold a place before I apply?
We typically operate on a first-come, first-served basis. A rental is only secured once a completed application and all required fees are submitted. We encourage you to apply as soon as possible if you’re interested in a property. -
How old do you have to be to apply?
Applicants must be at least 18 years old or of legal age to sign a lease agreement. -
Is the deposit refundable?
Yes. Security deposits are refundable as long as the lease terms are met and there’s no damage beyond normal wear and tear. Deductions may apply for unpaid rent, cleaning, or repairs. -
Who needs a cosigner?
If an applicant does not meet the credit, income, or rental history standards, a qualified cosigner may be required. Cosigners must meet financial criteria and sign a guarantor agreement. -
You have a property I want to rent. How do I apply?
You can apply online or in person. Applications must include the completed form, payment of the application fee, and supporting documentation such as proof of income and ID. -
I want to get a pet. What should I do?
Check your lease and contact management before bringing a pet home. Some rentals allow pets with additional fees or deposits, while others may have breed or size restrictions. -
My lease expiration is coming, and I want to move out. What should I do?
Refer to your lease for the notice period required. Submit a written notice of your intent to vacate by the deadline to avoid penalties. -
Who is responsible for paying for repairs and maintenance requests?
Sunworld Group handles routine repairs and maintenance. However, tenants are responsible for any damage caused by negligence or misuse. All maintenance requests should be submitted through the tenant portal.
